Meet Andrew Gaydosh

Andrew grew up in Richmond, Indiana for most his younger life, with the exception of a short relocation to the Chicago, IL area. He attended the local schools where he quickly found success in academics and athletics. He was a member of the state and nationally ranked Richmond Indiana High School basketball team, achieving the state runner-up title in 1987. Athletics as well as a strong family life were very instrumental in Andrew?s early development and afforded him the opportunity to be given a full basketball scholarship to the University of Dayton. Andrew was a four-year letter winner and co-captain in his senior year. ?Athletics has proven to be the single most influential experience in the preparation of a very competitive real estate industry, as well as life in general. Everyone has to deal with the successes and adversities of life and business. It is how we react to those experiences that differentiate those of us that find success and those of us that don?t. We all know real estate is full of ups and downs for us as professionals as well as for our clients. It is up to us as Realtors in our own business, as well as counsel to our clients, to encourage each other to wake up the next day and win the next game.?

Andrew is one of four children of Jack and Carol Gaydosh. Andrew and Carol obtained their real estate licenses at the same time and have been working together ever since. They jointly started RE/MAX Integrity Group in 1995 and have shared much success with true family values and a burning desire to make their company everything that they conceived it to be at its conception.

After many years of persuasion, Jack, Andrew?s father, joined the Gaydosh Team and is now is a key part of the operation. He was previously a human resource director for two large companies and brings with him a wealth of management experience as well as a much-desired understanding of the employee relocation process. ?Our job,? as Jack puts it, ?is to make sure that every employee relocation candidate is provided for with every available resource of the Gaydosh Team, and we understand that for an employee to reach his/her full potential as a new or relocating employee, he/she must first be completely at ease that his/her family is happy and comfortable in their new surroundings.? The Gaydosh Team has proven to provide that type of service time and time again and thus is a favorite service provider to many of the area?s largest and most transitional companies.

While attending the University of Dayton, Andrew met his wife, Dawn, and they married in 1997. Dawn is from the Chicago area and was attending the university on a soccer scholarship. As a four year starter and A-10 all conference player, she caught the eye of Andrew with her competitive spirit. She is now a 4th grade school teacher in the Oakwood, Ohio school system and is the varsity girl?s soccer coach. They currently live on Lake Lakengren near Eaton, OH, with their dog Buffett, named after Andrew?s favorite singer songwriter Jimmy Buffett. (Dawn?s idea for increasing her odds of keeping Buffett in her early years. As she was an impulse buy while Andrew was out of town. It worked, because Buffett is still around and always a crowd favorite.)

Real Estate Tips
First Time Buyers >The Real Bottom Line

An important part of buying a house is sitting down with your real estate agent or a mortgage lender to get a clear idea of how much you can afford. They will add up all of your monthly expenses, the mortgage payment, insurance, real estate taxes, homeowners or condo association fees--and the grand total can throw you into shock!

The important thing to remember is that the grand total isn't really the bottom line. When you add your tax savings to the equation, you may be pleasantly surprised. During the early years of your loan, almost all of the mortgage can be deducted from your state and federal income tax. The same is true of your real estate taxes. If you use part of your house as a home office, you may be able to qualify for additional tax savings. In some areas, homes with ground floor apartments are popular for offsetting part of the mortgage and offering even more tax savings.

When you make calculations about the monthly costs that include the tax savings, you may find that owning your own home is less expensive than renting a house or apartment of comparable size.
